Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SQL Server DBA to join our team. As a SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's SQL Server databases. You will work closely with other database administrators, software engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that our databases meet high quality standards and are available 24/7.
Responsibilities
• Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and other methods.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
• Develop and maintain database security protocols.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to ensure that database requirements are met.
• Participate in database design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for databases.
• Continuously improve database administration practices and methodologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database administration best practices.
• Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
• Experience with database security protocols.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with other database platforms such as Oracle or MySQL is a plus.
