Job Description
We are looking for a young, energetic painter & labourer to join our team!
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the respraying, cleaning and modifying of empty and loaded shipping containers.
Attach, detach, and guide container lifting equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach stackers, straddle carriers—depending on depot).
Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
Inspection & Cleaning
Perform basic visual inspections for damage, wear, rust, or structural issues.
Complete container cleaning (internal and external) using appropriate tools such as pressure washers, brooms, or cleaning chemicals.
Report any defects to supervisors or depot maintenance teams.
Repairs & Maintenance Support
Assist technicians in minor repairs such as patching floors, replacing seals, preparing surfaces, and basic painting.
Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas.
Documentation & Inventory
Record container numbers, inspection results, and movement information accurately.
Update paperwork or handheld device logs as required by depot procedures.
Assist with stock checks for repair materials and cleaning supplies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour
