What you’ll do
The IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology.
Who you are
• Software Developer is responsible to understand the given business requirement, analyse, write and document the solution using technologies- Java 8, Spring Boot & RDBMS.
Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline
• Spring Boot, API technologies such as Rest Webservices Experience
• Familiarity with software development design patterns: GIT, Swagger etc.
• Previous experience writing unit tests with JUnit, Mockito, or Power Mock
• Knowledge of markup languages such as JSON and YML, quality and security scan technologies such as Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect, Agile approach.
• Active participation in application integration and deployment
• Functional & Technical Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with non-technical (business users) to understand their problems and identify the appropriate solution.
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in technologies like, Core Java (Java 7 & above), Spring Boot & Oracle (or any other RDBMS).
• Experience in working in Agile Scrum methodology. Experience in CI/CD and DevOps tools like Jenkins, GIT, Docker, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, Mockito, WebLogic configurations etc, Relational Databases, writing SQL queries, DML statements.
• Behaviors & Competencies
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
