SQL Database Administrator
Fully Remote Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA to join our team of four in a challenging and rewarding role. If you have strong expertise in SQL Server and a solid understanding of SSRS and SSAS, this opportunity is for you.
The Role
You will report directly to the SQL Manager and be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to IT SLAs, KPIs, and performance measures while handling day-to-day operational duties as a SQL DBA.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Management
Configure and manage SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2017 certification advantageous).
Monitor system health and performance, including trend analysis.
Ensure high availability, security, and sustainability of database systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real-time.
Provide optimization suggestions and refine automated processes.
Support & Collaboration
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployments.
Act as a technical escalation point for the support team.
Ensure proactive issue resolution and maintain up-to-date IT knowledgebase.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
Identify process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
Contribute to technical oversight on projects.
Deliver high-quality project work in line with agreed objectives.
