SQL Database Administrator Job Description:
SQL SERVER DBA with Experience in database Installation / Configuration / Tuning / Legacy System ( 2000 and above ) / Mirroring / SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) / SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) / Upgradation / Migration / Linked servers / SSIS package deployment / SQL Server Job system / Implement and maintain security access / Backup / restores and recovery models Disaster Recovery / Windows server, including Active Directory.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Ensure that all databases’ environments are deployed, maintained, and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS.
• Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance and tuning of database and application.
• Managing database backup and recovery
• Managing database security, roles, and profiles
• Ensure data requirements have been identified, design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices and strict security requirements, Server 2000, and above Administration.
• Knowledge of virtual servers and storage area network (SANs) related to capacity planning, security, and performance tuning.
Preferred skills:
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) / Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) – SQL Server 2012 and above Administration.
• Experience in Upgrade / Migration of Legacy dB into latest version.
• Experience in Monitoring of ETL Tools
