As a Senior MS SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Microsoft SQL Server databases. Key Responsibilities:-
• Database Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases across multiple environments, including development, testing, and production.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal system responsiveness and efficiency.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement effective backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime in case of emergencies or failures.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct regular capacity assessments to forecast future database growth and recommend necessary hardware and software upgrades.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex database issues, working closely with development and IT teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline routine database administration tasks and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Database Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute database software upgrades and apply patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.

Qualifications and Requirements:-
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server, at least 5 years at a mid-Sinor-level or above.
• Advanced knowledge of database concepts, SQL querying, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in configuring and maintaining SQL Server high availability solutions (e.g., Always-On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering).
• In-depth understanding of security practices and principles in database administration.
• Proficiency in database backup and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
