Responsibilities
The Database Administrator is responsible maintaining systems, tuning, aiding in design and solving database issues for systems running SQL server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012
Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur
Ability to create stored procedures to facilitate processing and maintenance
Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities
Install and configure new SQL Server instances
Deploy database change scripts
When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)

Job Summary:
The Database Administrator is responsible maintaining systems, tuning, aiding in design and solving database issues for systems running SQL server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012.
