Build the Future of Database Technology!
Sopra Steria is developing a brand-new, next-generation
Managed Service, replacing a sophisticated legacy Enterprise infrastructure
with a highly automated, scalable, and secure environment. This greenfield
project is a unique opportunity to work with pioneering database technologies
in a Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environment, supporting key COTS
applications such as MECM, WSUS, and SCOM.
We are looking for experienced SQL Database
Administrators who thrive in high-performance environments, ensuring databases
are resilient, secure, and optimised for scalability.
What you will be doing:
• Working
on a pioneering greenfield infrastructure project.
• Bring
hands-on experience with pioneering database technology.
• Design
from the ground up.
• Training
in the latest database innovations.
• Administering,
optimising & securing SQL databases in a critically important
environment.
• Designing
& implementing database high availability (HA) & disaster recovery
(DR) solutions.
• Ensuring
performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain
operational excellence.
• Supporting
& maintaining COTS applications reliant on SQL, including MECM, WSUS,
and SCOM.
• Applying
security best practices to protect database integrity and prevent
vulnerabilities.
• Leading
backup & recovery strategies to ensure data resilience.
What You’ll Bring:
• Proven
expertise in SQL Database Administration.
• Solid
experience with SQL / DB Clustered Instances.
• Understanding
of database security & best practices.
It would be great if you had:
• High
Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) expertise.
• Experience
with MariaDB & other database platforms.
• Database
security auditing & compliance knowledge.
• Sophisticated
troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
