Qualifications
Minimum of ten (10) years DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 201+) and Azure SQL Database (PAAS, IAAS, DAAS) in Production, Q/A and Test, and Development environments
Experience with T-SQL and PowerShell Scripting – query writing, indexing and DB I/O performance tuning, Stored Procedures, functions and views, customization coding, data models & Entity Relationships Diagrams (ERDs)
Experience implementing and supporting highly available SQL Server environments, including experience with Failover Cluster and Always-On
Experience with SQL Server troubleshooting, performance tuning, issues monitoring and resolution, to include extended events and performance monitoring
Experience with Azure Cloud and Database Service, to include Windows and Linux environments
Experience with reporting, integration, and/or analysis services
Knowledge and experience in high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) principles and practices, to include planning, testing, backup/restore using disk-based backup solutions
Strong communication, interpersonal and human relations skills to interact with clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University in MIS or Computer Science related field and Six (6) years’ technical experience
In lieu of degree, Ten (10) years of technical experience and MS Azure Database Administrator Associate Certification (DP-300)
Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE or equivalent) or Level 3 (CASP, CISSP, or equivalent)
Will be required to obtain and maintain certification within 60 days of employment
Security Clearance: An Interim DoD secret security clearance is required to start
Applicant must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
Selected applicant may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
