• Database management of SQL server and other NOSQL DATABASE
• Proactively review and address database performance and capacity trends.
• Ready to learn other core technologies like Cassandra, Mongo DB.
• Applying/automating fix packs, cumulative updates and hotfixes
• Perform Health check activities, monitoring, backup, space management and maintenance
• User management and BAU activities
• Setup and maintenance of Data replication services
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery
• Occasional (part of a rota) 247 on call support for SQL server portfolio and applications
• Managing and maintaining physical databases including database storage management, procedures and tools for access, database security, monitoring and tuning the database
• Analyzing system storage capacity and recommending improvements to ensure efficiency

• Hands on Experience and strong knowledge on MS SQL, monitoring tools and configuration management tools like chef and Ansible.
• 5-8 years of hands on experience on MS SQL Server.
• Experience with data protection, business continuity and DR option, configurations and executions.
• knowledge of IT business processes and practices including ITIL methodology.
• Incident, change and problem management knowledge and experience.
• Effectively manage and prevent critical outages for databases
