You will play a key role as part of the growth and expansion of the Lending MI team and will engage with internal and external stakeholders.We are looking for an experienced SQL developer to join the engineering team. As a member of the team you will continue to build, extend, innovative our banking solutions and capabilities.To be successful in this role, you must be code author and craftsman, this engineer will be responsible for code delivery in a timely and accurate fashion, and the overall review and guidance of sprint and epic goals. This developer is expected to produce a high volume of quality code along with his/her team. The team work on specific use cases and contribute to sprint planning, and releasesWhat will you be doing. Work through a spectrum of requirements across different lending functions . Design and development of solutions using SQL query in Teradata, Hadoop environments including Hive and Impala and Scripting knowledge on .bteq in Unix/ linux environments . Monitoring of Data and BI Jobs in TWS Scheduler . Perform Real time reporting as per applicable use cases in order to enable business in taking timely decisions . Conduct POCs using latest in-market tools and technologies for creating innovative BI solutions . Ensure data capture is consistent and accurate . Actively participate in the Barclays BI community to learn and share best practices, standards/guidelines, tips and tricks . Work closely with designers, data team and testers to ensure execution and delivery of good quality deliverables . Work closely with stakeholders and project managers to ensure expectations are managed and any risks/issues are highlighted in timely manner .
