Introduction: The SQL developer role is one of the key roles to perform essential activities in the department which enables development and troubleshooting of the reconciliations. What will you be doing?
• To understand the reconciliation requirements from the respective Finance Teams
• Translate the requirements into executable code
• To maintain the developed reconciliations
• Take complete ownership of assigned tasks
What we’re looking for:
• Good ANSI-+2 SQL Knowledge and well versed with the below topics in SQL.
• Operators
• Functions
• Joins - INNER JOIN,OUTER JOIN,LEFT JOIN,RIGHT JOIN,SELF JOIN,CROSS JOIN
• Queries - Sub queries/nested queries
• Keys - Primary Key, Unique Key, Foreign Key
• Should have strong hands-on experience on SQL Development and troubleshooting.
• Should have good knowledge about database products like Oracle, SQL Server etc.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, experience working with large datasets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, time management and organizational abilities.
• Advanced level of competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills that will help you in the role:
• One or more of the below experiences / knowledge base areas would be preferred, though not mandatory:
• Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience with data gathering, storage, analytics and tools, such as Hypercube, SQL.
• Good understanding of Barclays’ systems and reporting tools.
