Position Summary for SQL Developer.
We are seeking a passionate Database Engineer with deep technical know-how and hands-on experience designing and implementing database systems.
This role architects and implements the logical data model and physical database design.
Creates performant and scalable data models, assists developers in developing efficient access algorithms and queries, develops data migration strategies, and performs general database administration.
SQL developer role is responsible for establishing and implementing the database architecture and must be passionate about building high performance databases and leading and mentoring developers in best practices for database design and optimization.
The SQL developer will work collaboratively with groups across the enterprise infrastructure, DevOps, Python and PHP developers, product managers, etc.
to accomplish objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Leads the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing databases.
• Provides architectural/database technical expertise to team concerning methods, procedures, and standards to be used during design and development phases.
• Establishes physical and logical database structure for all databases, including data model, storage, partitioning, indexing, and access patterns.
• Maintains application performance and scalability, focusing on performance query tuning, table design, indexing, query plan analysis and SQL refactoring.
• Reviews queries and database access patterns for opportunities to improve database design or queries.
. Identifies opportunities to improve the scalability and performance of databases, and pursues to resolution.
• Provides technical solutions to DevOps teams on efficient queries, access patterns, and algorithms.
• Identifies, assesses, and solves complex technical problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and applies various tool and automation solutions.
• Collaborates and coordinates across multiple disciplines to deliver aligned database solutions.
• Assists in routine database administration activities.

Experience Required:
• 5+ years of experience working with MySQL/ MariaDB server.
• 5+ years of experience with database design, data modelling.
• 4+ years of in-depth SQL development experience, including using Stored Procedures, Functions and Views.
• 5+ years of experience with MySQL/ MariaDB server Performance Tuning, including server tuning, database tuning, and query tuning.
• Good to have experience in automation and scripting using SQL, Python and/or PowerShell/Bash.

Mandatory Skills –
