Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Database developer with expertise in SQL Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions, including writing queries and stored procedures to support various applications and business processes.
Responsibilities And Duties
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support application functionality, data retrieval, and manipulation.
• Collaborate with software developers to provide guidance on database design and query optimization to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Analyse application requirements and translate them into efficient database structures and queries.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, database bottlenecks, and other technical problems.
• Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and data integrity.
• Implement and maintain security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Assist in database capacity planning and scalability efforts as applications grow.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in SQL Server database technologies.
Qualifications And Skills
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing.
• Strong experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and data protection.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and database change management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Development, or similar, are a plus.
