This position is for an established and productive professional individual contributor in Information Technology, who works independently with minimal supervision.
We are a large team who together, across the AUS, UK, Canada & US are responsible for significant databases & project related to our Oracle environment.
We are offering an emerging and varied role, with a stimulating range of duties and responsibilities.
We will count on you to:
• Work independently with least supervision
• Work closely with offshore team to ensure smooth transition of work handover if required
• Resolve configuration/performance issues.
• Have a good understanding of active-active cluster and DR Failover knowledge.
• Be flexible on working hours as role is part of the On-call rotation over the weekend.
What you need to have:?
• Previous DBA experience working with SQL Server versions 2016 and above.
• Experience in Installation and configuration of SQL server, SSRS, SSIS & SSAS of SQL Version 2016 and higher
• Involvement in making recommendations involving capacity planning
• Planning for backup and recovery of databases
• Configure LogShipping, Mirroring, Clustering
• Hands on experience with Implementation of TDE. Knowledge or experience with Azure Key Vault will be an asset
• Experience in index tuning, performance counters and query store
• T-SQL & PowerShell scripting is an asset
• Good knowledge of active-active cluster, data partitioning, multi-thread environment
• Troubleshooting DB related alerts
