Opportunity Overview:
We’re seeking entry-level technicians or students who are confident with technology and enjoy hands-on work. You’ll help install and configure Square POS systems for events and businesses across Perth, Queensland, and nearby regional areas. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operations during various events. This is a freelance position, and you will have the opportunity to work on exciting events and collaborate with diverse teams. Hours for these jobs may vary.
Duties & Responsibilities
Install and configure Square POS systems and related hardware
Troubleshoot technical issues onsite
Guide clients through setup and provide basic training
Work independently and manage time under tight deadlines
Travel to jobs across metro and regional locations
Job Requirements
Tech-savvy with a curious and proactive mindset
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Friendly and professional communication skills (client-facing role)
Can work under pressure and within time constraints
Full driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel (including regional jobs)
Bonus Points (Desirable but Not Essential)
Experience with EPOS systems (especially Square)
Comfortable using basic power tools (for mounting devices, cable runs, etc.)
Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, routers, printers)
Contractor Role – Flexible & Casual
Pay per job or hourly (depending on job type)
Training and support provided
Ideal for students or junior techs looking for experience
