Process Overview
Global Banking and Markets Technology group (GBAMT) provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Banking and Markets businesses including Treasury, Trade Finance, Credit, Payments, Transaction Banking, Equities Trading, Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. In addition, GBAMT also provides technology solutions across several horizontal functions including Sales, CRM, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client services for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.
GBAMT is engaged in over 800+ applications and across the complete spectrum of Application Development and Production Support. GBAMT’s type of work and services include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using a wide range of technologies. GBAMT India team is doing extensive work in several regulatory, strategic and initiatives programs. GBAMT has also established a strong partnership with the GBAM operations team in India to deliver automation and functional enhancements to the applications that they are using.
Job Description
The individual will be responsible for providing Level 2 production support for Pega based applications within Global Wholesale Banking technology team. The role requires excellent communication, debugging and Triage skills.
Responsibilities
• Provide Level 2 Support for Pega Based Applications (Banking Domain)
• Drive triage calls for significant and high priority issues.
• Understand end to end application architecture and configurations.
• Work closely with Level 3 / Dev partners as integral member of agile development.
• Work closely with DevOps to review planned/emergency releases and escalate any potential stability issues.
• Perform Application Resiliency Certification testing.
• Understand and manage batch processing including running, debugging and restoring any issues with the batch
• Drive incident management change management problem management, BCP, batch monitoring, application and infrastructure support functions.
• Work in shifts (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM & 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST)
Requirements
• Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
• Certifications, If Any: ITIL Certified (Not Mandatory)
• Experience Range: 6+ years
Foundational skills:
• 6+ yrs of experience in Application Production Support
• Experience in Pega CLM Framework
• Strong knowledge of Pega Architecture and tools like Pega Developer Studio
• Experience in Scheduling Tools - Blade Logic & Autosys
• Experience in Message Queue’s (MQ) & Logging (Log4j)
• Experience in Database – Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD
• Experience in Linux, Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of Middleware technologies like Weblogic, WebSphere, Mule Community and Mule Enterprise.
• Knowledge of Apache Web Server
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Desired skills:
• ITIL framework
• Knowledge of monitoring tools – Splunk & AppDynamics
• Knowledge of Public and Private Cloud
• Understanding of Agile Development Methodologies and experience on at least one.
• Experience in leading teams (Tech Lead)
