Responsibilities
DEPARTMENT DESRIPTION:
GLOBAL BANKING AND ADVISORY (GLBA) / Credit Management Group – GLBA/CRE/COO
This position has a focus on Credit Administration function supporting various regions which are part of the CRE within GLBA specifically in the Financial Institution Group (FIG). The mission of CRE/FIG is to provide credit support and manage the credit relationship with clients of the Financial Institution Group and Global Markets sectors. This role is attached in CRE/COO supporting CRE/FIG globally, primarily for Funds domain.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
The individual will be responsible to provide support and assisting to credit analysts of CRE FIG (Credit Management – Financial Institutional Group) having the portfolio of FIG - Hedge funds, Regulated funds, Pension funds, Insurance companies, Asset Managers, Mutual funds, private equity funds, Banks, Brokers, and other counterparties. Day to day responsibilities include:
• Hedge fund and Other Fund 's NAV and Performance tracking
• Input NAV and performance provided by Hedge Funds and other Funds or their third parties in SG's internal Fund tracking tool.
• Follow-up with Fund managers or their services providers when NAV/Performance data is not provided in due course.
• Raise alerts to Senior Fund analysts located onshore upon large moves in NAV and/or performances
• Assist in the post-trade monitoring process for various reports including that of overshoot monitoring, stress testing, NAV monitoring etc.
• Assisting in upgrading the internal data quality management for NBFI portfolio primarily funds by assisting in the remediation of internal groupings and setups while liaising with data management and onboarding teams.
• Source information from various internal and external systems/tools as requested by the CRE/FIG analysts.
• Participate to the internal classification of fund counterparties, Fund Segmentation etc.
• Assist in preparation of the credit's portfolio analysis in the framework of global annual reviews to be prepared in coordination with the CRE FIG teams worldwide.
• Do a prescreening / portfolio-level review of material credit matters as seen through risk metrics.
• Provide the necessary support to the teams to ensure a smooth operation within CRE.
• Regularly update the monthly workflow and collect information from analyst / front office/ RMs to ensure timely closure of files and renewal of credit lines.
• Follow up on actions to be performed by the credit teams.
• Prepare various reports for portfolio monitoring including limit overshoots, obligor risk ratings dashboard, Issuer Risk report, annual review deadlines, Watch List, CMFST, FBL Flag, Shadow Banking, etc.
• Prepare MIS reports and assist with reporting tasks.
• Assist CRE/FIG Management in various ad-hoc projects within the department: related to the Funds, portfolio analytics, setup of reporting dashboards, other reporting etc.

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with banking professionals at all levels.
• Quick learner with ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
• Ability to work in a team environment, interfacing with team members, front office bankers and salespersons, risk team, and clients.
• Ability to investigate/research/synthesize data and make appropriate conclusions as to what is causing the observed result(s).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Proficiency using MS Office for data and reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills, such as macros and pivot tables; more generally proficiency to explore large databases and to quickly ramp up on new IT ecosystems.
• Proficiency in VBA, Power BI is an advantage
• Experience in Credit Administration / Middle Office functions is an advantage.
• Knowledge of third-party information sources like Bloomberg, S&P, SNL etc.
• Good understanding of lending terminology, commercial & investment banking products, NBFI portfolio, derivatives knowledge, legal documentation and good knowledge of finance and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to learn and utilize SG systems.
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
• Relevant experience in large international bank or similar financial services organization
• Analyst – Credit Admin (2+ years of relevant experience)
• Sr. Analyst – Credit Admin (4+ years of relevant experience)
• Knowledge or previous experience on Funds, NAV monitoring
