Process Overview
The ADS Platform Messaging team provides Operational support to Messaging products (Kafka, EMS & RV) for all the Enterprise wide applications. The team is responsible for providing end-to-end operational support to both Production and Non-Production and to drive operational excellence and stability.
Job Description
Messaging Shared Services (WebSphere Message Queue & Tibco) Teams provide essential product management and operational services for the Bank of America technology Infrastructure environment and as such, are subject to regular audit and regulatory reviews. It is essential that the Governance team operate within a clear framework and apply the same standards and security oversight to ensure risk is mitigated within in the overall operation of this function. Team need to review multiple documents like ex. MQ security baseline standards. Any divergence from baselines must be documented. The range of reports is under daily review, the eventual goal being to ensure reports are generated to cover the entirety of security baseline requirements for this functional area. A senior level engineer with experience in supporting the MQ, Kafka, EMS and RV and should have strong knowledge on MQ, Kafka and EMS & RV. Role involves all performing QA and Governance activities which includes daily, weekly and quarterly reporting. It is an QA role for Messaging Shared Services support for all the Enterprise wide applications. The team is responsible to host governance board meetings and need to support all QA and audit related remediations.

• PB roles check and AD groups checks
• Security Summary Report
• Review Messaging MQ & Tibco Admin Baseline
• Understanding and/or working experience with any messaging software (TIBCO EMS/RV, IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka etc.)
• Experience with any programming language (C/C++, .NET, Java/J2EE, Python etc.)
• Shell/Python/Perl scripting and UNIX command line skills.
• Critical problem solving skills and ability to automate repeating tasks.
• Must have Knowledge on complex clustered Environment.
• Good Hands on Production environment to handle issues.
• Support application teams around messaging functionalities.
• Excellent Communication skills both written & spoken
• Working in shifts and exploring the process related governance and Audit frameworks.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor/Master Degree
• Certifications If Any : MQ, Kafka, EMS & RV
• Experience Range : 5-10 Years
Foundational skills:
MQ, Kafka, EMS, RV, IIB, Unix/Linux/Windows and Governance/Audit frameworks.
Desired skills:
Kafka, Scripting skills
