What you’ll do:

Review requirements and translate them into technical implementation
Proficiency in high/low level design of complex distributed system
Review software design and implementation done by co-workers
Follow industry best practices and preach them to junior engineers in the team
Write efficient code in the chosen programming language and write unit tests Perform code reviews for other developers and continuously look for improvements
Lead debugging of production issues, troubleshoot and solve a wide range of technical problems
Effectively communicate and collaborate on design and technology with stakeholders
Participate in Agile / Scrum activities, Sprint Plannings, Standups, code reviews and product demos
Follow RingCentral internal coding style and principle to design and implement business system based on requirements
What makes you a great fit:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent
6+ years of experience in developing distributed applications using Java, Spring, REST API
Strong understanding of relational databases and knowledge of SQL, data model design
Strong understanding of Web protocols, formats, Web architectures
Knowledge of CI/CD, public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, AWS is preferred)
Knowledge of monitoring and build tools
Exposure to current web frameworks like React is desirable
Experience of building applications/products from scratch is desirable
Agile development experience a plus
