The Business Development & Ventures team accelerates Microsoft’s long- and short-term growth by identifying and executing high-impact strategic partnerships. We work across industries and geographies to shape the future of innovation and value creation.

As a Business Development, you will lead strategic deal-making efforts that drive Microsoft’s growth in India and South Asia region. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities, structure complex deals, and build long-term partnerships.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 12+ years of relevant experience (e.g., consulting, finance, strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product/project management, or software development)
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business or related field AND 10+ years of relevant experience.
8+ years of experience in technology, telco, commerce industry or in a techno-commercial role.

Responsibilities
Provide industry and market insights to influence customer and partner strategies.
Develop and articulate compelling business value propositions and competitive positioning.
Drive strategic partnerships with Indian conglomerates, digital natives, and public sector entities aligned with national digital transformation goals.
Identify and pursue high-priority partnership opportunities using data-driven insights.
Lead deal structuring and execution across complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
Manage a portfolio of deals, including governance, execution planning, and post-deal success tracking.
Navigate regulatory and policy frameworks relevant to technology and data in India.
Collaborate with local ecosystem partners including startups, VCs, and academia to foster innovation and co-creation.
