Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at anicalls-pty-ltd. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cassandra and Oracle Database, with the ability to work with internal and external customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
• Work with internal and external customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with the existing data structure.
• Build and maintain multiple Cassandra Clusters in lower non-production environments.
• Plan, coordinate, and administer database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, requirements, operational guidelines, and protection.
• Act as liaison with customers, test designed applications.
• Develop data models and perform planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards, and implementation.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
• Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources.
• Analyze and determine information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.
• Research and evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for business issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality.
• Perform performance tuning of the application SQLs and stored procedures, and plan and execute the AWS migration of the DB.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the migration of data from the existing Oracle DB into Cassandra DB.
Key Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience as a Senior Database Administrator with strong experience in Cassandra and Oracle Database.
• Experience in automation in building and setting up multiple Cassandra Clusters in AWS public cloud.
• Experience in Jenkins scripting.
• SQL tuning.
• AWS environment knowledge and certification, Oracle certification/Cassandra certification.
