Responsibilities
• Provision and Manage Database instances and plan for replication setups, HA, Backups, and DR.
• Resolve Database related issues and perform RCA.
• Capacity planning to support periodic or campaigns-related scale.
• Identify Automation needs and close Security and Process gaps.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance, and operability in mind.
• Guide developers in choosing the right database based on the application use-case.
• Support our continuously growing micro-service-based cloud environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in RDS/MySQL/PostgreSQL (mandatory) and NoSQL Experience(good to have).
• Experienced in Database Administration, design, development, maintenance, and production support of relational databases, business applications.
• Strong in MySql and also in general system administration skills in Linux.
• Experienced in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using different Utilities.
• Familiar with AWS RDS, AWS Backup, Replication, and snapshot.
• Good knowledge of Linux System Admin and Bash Scripting.
• Good team player with strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
