• Solid understanding of database principles and optimization
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2014
• Provides instructions to teammates on new procedures, techniques and software
• Minimum of 5+ years extensive and specialized technical experience in business systems or database management experience
• Strong experience and knowledge of designing and developing relational database environments, database models, and ETL processes
• Perform SQL database administration including software installations/configurations for SQL Server 2008 to 2014 including SSDS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and peripheral features/products such as log shipping, mirroring, and maintenance packs (dbcc, backups, re-indexing)
• provides consultation to Application Developers / Data Modelers on - Database design; Performance and Tuning; Database engine enhancements; Database Utility usage; Database Security features.Licensing or Certifications for Database Consultant
• List any licenses or certifications required by the position: SQL, ITIL, PMP, DBA, UNDP, MS, MCITP, IBM, OCP, CFA
