Job Description
As Database Manager/ Architect in our Chennai Office, you will be collaborating with our Vice President - Technology and other senior management members in Chennai and US to to build, optimize and maintain conceptual and logical database models. For this role, you should know how to analyse system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data. Hands-on experience with SQL and Postgres is also required. Ideally, you are familiar with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools.
Job responsibilities include but not restricted to:
• Developing database solutions to store and retrieve required information effectively
• Installing and configuring information systems to ensure functionality
• Analyzing structural requirements for new software and applications

• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
• Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements

• Coordinate with the necessary authorities to identify future needs and requirements
• Provide operational support for Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Ultimately, you will develop database solutions to ensure company information is stored effectively and securely.
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles
• Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
• Expertise in SQL and Postgres.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, D3.js and R)
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Proven analytical skills
• Problem-solving attitude
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Relational Database Management System/Normalization and Denormalization Techniques
• Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality
• Ability to organize and plan work independently
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
• Bachelor/Master in Computer Science is required
