Job Description
Sonata Softwares is seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our team as a .NET Migration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing .NET migration projects using SDK Style, GIT, MSBuild, and Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transitions, efficient code management, and automated deployment processes.

Responsibilities:
Lead and execute .NET migration projects from the older project format to the SDK Style, following best practices and adhering to coding standards.
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze existing codebases, and plan migration strategies.
Develop, test, and implement automated migration scripts and tools to streamline the migration process.
Utilize GIT for version control and collaborate with team members to manage source code repositories, branches, and merges effectively.
Configure and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, including code conflicts, build errors, and deployment failures.
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the migrated applications, optimizing code as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices related to .NET development, migration, and CI/CD processes.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience with .NET migration projects, specifically in transitioning projects to SDK Style.
Strong proficiency in GIT for version control, including branch management, code merges, and resolving conflicts.
Expertise in MSBuild for building .NET projects and managing project dependencies.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, release management, and integration with source control.
In-depth knowledge of .NET frameworks, particularly ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio.
Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex codebases and identify potential migration challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, are a plus.
