Model N is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer for its DevOps team. In this role you will working to closely with the product development and operations team to improve DevOps practices. Be a part of a team that is creating new automation for the next generation of cloud products and enhancing existing automation to improve the efficiency and productivity of engineering and operations.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with development and operations team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
Executing an automation-first approach and reducing the accumulation of tech debt
Design, implement, document, and support CI/CD process automation for multiple ModelN products on Kubernettes and legacy applications.
Develop automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications that run and monitor ModelN services in the public cloud.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues and implement automation to prevent reoccurrence.
Document procedures, and processes to enable knowledge proliferation.
Will be responsible for various lower environments, production environments and continuous deployment systems.
Proactively seek opportunities to implement improvements in the development process and deployment pipeline.
Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
Work as part of a hands-on team to collaborate on designs, implementation, tuning, and support of applications in AWS Cloud
In this role, you will provide mentorship to junior engineers allocated across multiple projects, and implement and drive DevOps, automation and engineering solutions on the cloud.
Job Qualification
6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps automation, Infrastructure as code on AWS.
High proficiency to read, write, and debug automation scripts in Python, Linux shell, Terraform, Ansible, and other relevant languages.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools like Git, GitHub, GitOps style builds, and Jenkins for software, and SaaS products.
Familiar with build processes such as Maven, npm, Make, Gradle, etc.
Deep experience in building, deploying and managing Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, Argo CD, Prometheus, etc.
Experience with cloud networking models, network security.
Participate in on-call rotation with other team members to achieve follow-the-sun model and handle incidence response to ensure high availability.
Good knowledge in metrics collection, log aggregation and monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack, and similar tools.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Salesforce administration and package deployment on SFDC is a big plus.
Experience with OCI cloud, Java, relational databases and big data is a big plus.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Computer Science or relevant field. (BE/BTech or ME/MTech)
