The Senior DevOps Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining functional systems and infrastructure that improve customer and developer experience.
As a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer, you’ll get the opportunity to:

In this role, you will…
Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and platform solutions for Align applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, leveraging automation and best practices to improve development and deployment processes
Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments
Lead the administration and optimization of cloud resources and services, implementing robust security measures, and automating deployment processes on platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Design and implement scalable and resilient architectures, automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, optimizing the platform to handle increased loads and traffic, addressing bottlenecks, and improving system performance
Configuring API endpoints, authentication mechanisms, and data mappings to enable seamless data exchange and workflow automation between systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources, implement cost-saving strategies, and enhance the scalability and resilience of cloud-based applications
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
Continuously research and evaluate new technologies and approaches to problem-solving to enhance our cloud capabilities and drive innovation
Leverage emerging AI solutions to accelerate code and solution development
Create technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to both non-technical business users and technical stakeholders
In this role, you’ll need …
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with a focus on AWS and/or Azure
Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools & serverless architecture (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM Templates, AWS Lambda and Azure Functions)
Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of the cloud-native tools, languages, and methods across a broad spectrum of technologies.
Proficiency in at least two scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go, PowerShell)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana)
Familiarity with at least two of the following RPA tools (UiPath, Robocorp, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Checkbox)
Strong understanding of network and security fundamentals, including VPNs, firewalls, and encryption technologies
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail
Familiarity with industry trends and new technologies, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt
A "can do" attitude, high energy, and creativity are required along with organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and visual communication skills, with ability to present findings concisely and effectively.
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, program management, and marketing about objectives, requirements and design constraints.
Solid understanding of agile development principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to design solutions for multiple product requirements.
