The Job:
The Senior Software Engineer I advances technology innovations by managing and executing the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions that enhance customer experiences. Key responsibilities include developing production-quality code through all stages: vision, planning, execution, deployment, and ongoing support.
The Day-to-Day:
Develop and execute production-grade code through all stages: vision, definition, planning, execution, deployment, and sustainment.
Collaborate with Product Management to create exceptional customer experiences.
Work with technology leadership to identify and implement new technologies and techniques that enhance platform performance and customer experience.
Ensure consistency, reliability, supportability, and observability across services.
Facilitate effective communication to bring teams together and help resolve challenges.
Analyze product trade-offs to deliver simple, intuitive, and reliable solutions.
Build and maintain relationships across diverse teams and organizational levels to gain trust and support.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of prior relevant experience delivering commercial cloud and backend software products and services at enterprise to internet scale or related area.
Experience in software development within a production environment (Java, C++, or other languages).
End-to-end ownership of software development, from design through deployment and sustainment.
Experience working with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and deployment practices.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically Azure Cloud, for building and deploying scalable applications.
Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems.
Proficiency in agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks.
Experience working in a DevOps culture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing distributed teams.
Previous experience in a similar resort or hospitality setting is preferred.
