Senior Software Engineer:
FINEOS is a global market leader in core insurance technology for Disability, Life, Accident and Health.

The role:
Would you like to work in a rapidly growing fintech software product company with a first-class digital vision?
We are looking for a creative full stack software engineer with excellent design and coding skills. You have worked on an agile team and will enjoy working within the latest CI frameworks to create tested software products. You will get training on latest industry practises, to further develop your skills, along with exposure to cloud technologies, Building on your experience and your passion for good design and clean code, you will:
- Work collaboratively on an agile team to build cloud native SaaS services and on-premise applications. Design and work on front-end web UIs with a strong UX focus
- Design, develop and test back end applications (Java) and REST APIs
- Coach and Mentor other team members
- Identify and drive improvements and innovations
- Champion best practise to deliver secure, scalable and reliable services and interfaces
Requirements:
- + years of Java programming in an enterprise server environment with Junit/Spock
- 2+ years of React JS and other front-end technologies such as: Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, TypescriptJS test frameworks –Jest, Cypress, Jasmine
- Well versed with IDE & CI toolkit such as GIT, gradle, Jenkins, Maven, Junit, Eclipse
- Good SQL and data model design for RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server
- A relevant third level qualification or equivalent commercial experience in software engineering
- Fluency in verbal and written English essential
- Proven excellent technical problem-solving capabilities
- Dedication to learning and sharing new technologies and skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Skills/Experience
- IT background in the insurance sector
- Multi-platform skills (Linux/Unix/Windows, Docker containerization, IaC
- Experience with AWS or other Cloud technologies
- Experience of working in a vendor environment with appreciation of the customer deliverables an advantage.
Skills required- Core Java, Java/J2EE, HTML, Javascript, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, MVC, AWS, CSS, lead experience.
Experience- + to 12 years
