Java Developer
We are currently seeking an experienced Java Developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our team. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Java and related technologies. You will work on projects involving Autosys, Spring Batch, and PL/SQL, contributing to the successful delivery of our software products.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and software components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
Utilize Autosys for scheduling and job automation tasks.
Implement batch processing solutions using Spring Batch framework.
Develop and optimize PL/SQL scripts for efficient data manipulation and retrieval.
Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Investigate and resolve technical issues and bugs reported by users or identified during testing.
Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Java development and related technologies.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong proficiency in Java programming language and object-oriented design principles.
Experience with Autosys or other job scheduling tools for job automation.
Proficiency in Spring Batch framework for batch processing.
Strong knowledge of PL/SQL for efficient database manipulation and retrieval.
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Experience with writing and maintaining unit tests and test automation.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Additional Desired Skills:
Experience with other Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Hibernate.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
