Qualifications
A strong foundation in Java development, coupled with expertise in Solr
Hands-on experience with Solr 6.x or above
Proficiency in implementing data gathering and text extraction, tagging, or document classification using frameworks like Apache Tika and SOLR connectors for popular CMS platforms such as TeamSite, Drupal, Adobe-CQ, file systems, databases, or index update handlers
Ability to write and use out-of-the-box (OOTB) and customized query relevancy techniques to boost or bury documents based on document rank and other attributes
Good understanding of search and information retrieval concepts
Experience working with Apache Lucene Core APIs
Familiarity with the SOLR, SOLRCloud, LucidWorks Fusion Search platform ecosystems
Understanding of data load and extract techniques to support natural language processing using Apache Tika and Apache OpenNLP
Knowledge of keyword search, natural language search, intent-based, and semantic search techniques
Experience customizing search workflows that include faceted search, keyword search, phrase search, field search, and query expansion using synonyms
Experience optimizing search results by tuning query loads, offline sorting, shard-based search, and more
Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) for in-house and cloud-based implementations
Experience with ZooKeeper for managing SOLR implementations for synchronization, fault tolerance, and service registry
