Job Description:
• We are looking to hire dedicated software engineers with passion towards solving tough and challenging problems for our customers. You’ll be part of the Digital team that is responsible for building software solutions. The Software Engineer is in a unique position to help transform the way people and freight are moved around the world. • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices.
• Expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the
technology selected for the project.
• Drive code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
Essential Responsibilities:
• Build innovative software solutions while collaborating with architects, product owners, test engineers and other software engineers.
• Design solutions through the process of evaluating basic technology choices and articulating tradeoffs to provide value-added products to modernize the transportation industry.
• Write high-standard code applying core data structures and algorithms to deliver software solutions for desired customer-centric functionalities in developing enterprise applications using SQL, NoSQL(Redis or equivalent), Web sockets with understanding of Cross Platform , Reactive , Responsive frontend development and deployment.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap, Java Script, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Angular 7.0 or above
• Experience with modern tooling (NPM, Jasmine , Junit , Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)Use principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI/CD with understanding and focus on quality, cyber security and scalability as well as refactoring and unit testing techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's/Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics and
Telecommunication or Computer Science or Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Object oriented design/development, design patterns, database tools and front end technologies.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using SQL, NoSQL(Redis or equivalent), Web sockets with understanding of Cross Platform , Reactive , Responsive frontend development and deployment.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap, Java Script, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Angular 7.0 or above.
• Backend technologies java/j2ee - core java, Quarkus, jax-rs, JPA/hibernate, OpenAPI/Swagger, Junit/TestNG, Async messaging: kafka, Web-socket, Database -
Postgres, CockroachDB, Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Build tools - Maven, Gradle
• Experience with modern tooling (NPM, Jasmine , Junit , Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns and Angular coding principles
• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving
problems
• Experience working as part of teams following Agile Scrum methodology
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
• Experience with modern software tooling and Continuous integration/continuous deployment practices
• Strong ownership and focus on high quality delivery
• Experienced at driving technical excellence and mentoring team members
