Job Summary
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines ; S trong acumen in OOPS, Core Java, multi-threading and collection framework
Sound knowledge in software development experience with expertise in BigData, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Java 11, Spring, JPA, Restful services.
Understanding & experience in Micro services and automated integration testing of those applications to boost performance.
Sound experience in defining and applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions.
Thorough experience in writing high quality code with full automated unit test coverage (Junit, Mockito etc.)
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Experience with various CI/CD tools such as Jenkins coupled with w orking experience with relational or NoSQL databases
Understanding & experience in API management, Swagger , Understanding of architecture and design across multiple systems/platforms
Exposure to application support, debugging and application monitoring tools
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Some experience of working in Scrum/Agile teams.
Good to have working experience with Public Cloud Platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Practical cloud native experience
