Position - Sr. Manager / AVP - AML/KYC/Compliance
Qualification - CA / MBA / CFA / ICWA / CA Inter
Experience - 8 - 12 years (only relevant experience of hedge fund accounting domain)
Responsibilities/Skill Sets-
• Lead large and complex projects and provide subject matter expertise on related investors’ compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge on AML/KYC regulations of Europe / UK Jurisdictions for hedge funds across various asset class.
• Strong knowledge on World-check, Lexis Nexis, OFAC and other sanctions monitoring and screening
tools.
• Experience in PEP determination, connected parties, Underlying Beneficial Owners, controlling person
checking and their KYC requirements.
• Knowledge of interpreting PPM / operating agreement / Offering memorandums to determine funds
principals, managers, general partner and controlling parties and their due diligence thereof.
• AML/KYC for Investors of various jurisdictions and ownership types to run SDD, CDD, EDD especially
knowledge of IDs certification / verification requirements.
• Strong knowledge on review of US FATCA Tax forms (i.e. W-+, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, W-8IMY [WHS], W[1]8EXP, W-8ECI)
• Strong knowledge on review of AML/KYC documents for all entity types (i.e. Individuals, Trust,
Corporate Company, foundation/Charities, institutional Investors, partnerships, LLC, Nominee /
Custodial, EBP, PSP, 401K Plans, Joint, IRA, etc.)
• Experience of working on FATCA & CRS filings of various jurisdiction as per rules, regulations and
procedures required from authorities.
• Knowledge on AML Letters/Eligible Introducer/Custodial/Nominee/Intermediary Accounts.
• Knowledge of responsibilities and functions of MLRO and AMLCO and well versed with conversation
and reporting to them.
Soft Skills -
• Able to embed ECS (Exceptional Client Service).
• Drives interactions that build trust and manages expectations with all stakeholders
• Focused on analysis, advice and solutions that drive the continuous improvement of process
• Must be an analytical thinker, comfortable taking initiative
• Proven experience in leading teams
• Has a deep understanding of accounting processes & controls
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specialized / exposure into e-mails communication with clients / investors
