The Sr. Manager, Software Engineering will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products across multiple platforms that meet the needs of our employees.
In this role, you will…
• Leading and managing a team of software engineers/developers across multiple time zones, including setting goals and expectations, providing guidance and mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Work closely with product management and design team to define and prioritize software development projects and features, and ensure alignment with business goals
• Managing the team's workflow, including assigning tasks, setting project deadlines, and tracking progress
• Managing budgets and resources effectively to meet project goals
• Establishes the software engineering and DevOps processes, tools, standards, and best practices
• Manage multiple product development teams staffed by multiple vendors, in addition to employees, such as Digital Automation using RPA tools, workflow/ catalog automation using ServiceNow, and custom software development.
• Actively participate in the design and development of software solutions, including writing code and reviewing code written by others.
• Develop and maintain software development processes and best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business and customer needs, through code reviews, testing, and QA processes
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches to problem-solving
In this role, you’ll need …
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong technical skills in web and mobile development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and native mobile development
• Experience in leading agile software development teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong technical skills, including experience with a range of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and frameworks
• Familiarity with at least two of the following RPA tools (UiPath, Robocorp, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Checkbox)
• Experience with remote work and collaboration tools, such as Slack, Trello, and Asana
• Experience with ServiceNow Workflow Automation, Devsecops, API Gateway, Microservices is a plus.
• Experience of leading the Cloud operations & Quality engineering is a plus
• Proficient in creating technical documentation
• Familiarity with industry trends and new technologies, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt
