WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain and Operations is an integral leadership role that reports to our Sr. Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand. This individual will own all domestic and international procurement, leading key initiatives that optimise all supply chain and operations functions. A successful candidate will establish credibility through their supply chain management expertise and operational excellence, navigating our dynamic business needs and driving continuous improvement.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Develop and Execute Supply Chain and Operations Strategies: Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics to drive efficiency and profitability. Optimise costs, ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and enhance sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve overall performance. Regularly provide trend analysis, scenario models, and ad hoc reports to senior leadership to support organisational performance measurement. Identify and mitigate risks in supply chain and operations processes and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Drive Production Planning: Develop, manage and deliver the Annual Consensus Demand Plan. Collaborate cross-functionally with the Sales team to align supply chain strategies with sales forecasts and customer demands.
Own Supply Chain and Operations Budget: Oversee expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability, including managing the annual Freight Budget. Ensure accurate invoice processing and monthly freight reporting to Finance for accruals and inclusion in the company’s financial statements. Analyse variances between budgeted and actual expenses.
Manage 3P Warehouse Operations: Build and maintain strong relationships with warehouse site managers, key suppliers, and vendors. Define operational requirements to ensure new strategies and initiatives meet or exceed expectations. Resolve issues related to the Warehouse Management System (WMS), shipping/receiving, and inventory control to minimise customer complaints.
Oversee Systems Integrity: Manage the integrity of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring accurate perpetual inventory between 3PLs and our systems. Monitor systems and suggest modifications as needed. Support year-end inventory audits with Finance.
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Mentor and develop team members, driving engagement through collaboration, accountability, and effective communication.


KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, inventory management and production planning
Exceptional project management and project execution skills to meet aggressive timelines
Strong interpersonal skills to build, influence and achieve alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Highly attentive to details; Ability to thrive in a dynamic, face-paced work environment
Knowledge of industry best practices and trends with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven, decision-making and problem-solving abilities


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Location: Melbourne, required
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations and/or Manufacturing
Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience, developing a high-performing team
Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and other relevant tools.
CPG experience, required; Food and beverage, highly preferred


*Work is performed in a fast-paced, office-style environment and may be stressful at times. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:



The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organisation’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this work-from-home opportunity, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive, plus a mobile phone allowance and home office allowance.



The base AUS salary range is: $140,000 – $150,000 + Super, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives. Additionally, this position is eligible for a 15% annual short-term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience.
