Tasks/Aufgaben

The Sr. Marketing Events & Trade Shows Manager, in collaboration with TÜV SÜD, is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing events and tradeshows to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This cross-functional role within the marketing team involves planning, coordinating, and managing various marketing initiatives to effectively reach target audiences, generate leads, and support business objectives for the department.

The Sr. Marketing Events & Trade Shows Manager develops and oversees all aspects of global trade fairs for Global Risk Consultants (GRC). This role involves collaborating with the GRC team and external vendors to manage all facets of GRC and ARISE trade shows, events, and sponsorships worldwide, with a focus on maximizing ROI. Additionally, some support may be required for other TÜV SÜD brands at globally positioned events.

Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Planning:

Develop, direct, and manage strategic planning, budget, and execution of events to achieve business objectives and generate leads.

Creates and manages the GRC and ARISE event budgets

Event Management:

Define goals and targets for individual events aligned with the business unit strategy, create an overall event calendar with all fairs, events, sponsorships and other C-level events for smooth and successful program operations

Event Execution:

Oversees all aspects of trade shows and events including research, site visits, space selection, venue or hardware for the events, pre-conference promotion, exhibit materials, logistics, contract negotiations, selection of speakers, arranging the schedules and select methods of entertainments as well as detailed arrangements such as menus, attendee registrations, lead retrieval devices, and budget management.

Conceptualizes, develops, and directs the design and construction of exhibits/display hardware and graphics.

Manage inventory of all trade show booths/displays Business Unit (local and international) and their various components

Event Vendor Management:

Oversees a vast array of external vendors, including exhibit companies, promotional item vendors, shipping/logistics companies, housing bureaus, graphic designers, caterers, florists, audio visual companies, and unions/labor.

Drafts and negotiates event contracts and sponsorship agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Event Communication & Reporting:

Communicate across all departments and ensure necessary Marketing efforts are in place for successful registrations for each event to ensure specific lead generation and training revenue targets, including monthly reporting and cost controlling.

Evaluates ROI based on established metrics for quality and attendance and conducts post-event follow-up to inform future event strategies.

Event Design:

Ensure events align with Corporate Design and Messaging.

Assist with the design of tradeshow booths and materials through Indesign.

Country Support:
• Develops and promotes brand awareness as an ambassador of the brand, ensuring brand consistency across all events and materials.
• Stays on top of industry trends and competitor activities to seek opportunities for increasing brand exposure.
• Oversee sponsorship requests, including internal compliance approval process and contracted deliverables.
• Assists with special projects, which may include content creation, videos, sales and marketing meetings, and company events such as holiday parties and picnics. Corporate Support:

Develop and coordinate merchandise material for events in the Americas region.

Provide minor support for other TÜV SÜD brands for globally positioned events.

Other:
• Remain current with marketing trends through trade publications professional associations or networks and continuing education or seminars.
• Facilitate and/or partner on special projects as assigned.
• Domestic travel required up to 30% and international required with advance notice.

Qualifications/Qualifikationen

Education & Experience

Bachelor s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Management, or a related discipline.

3 - 5 years of marketing experience in a B2B environment, preferably in an engineering, industry, or technical field.

5 - 8 years of experience with managing US and International trade shows and events

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Strong understanding and skills in event marketing as well as marketing strategies, content marketing, search (organic and paid), social media and other digital media channels.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Demonstrated strong skills with contract review and negotiation.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Strong, professional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Experienced with working in a multinational environment and managing stakeholders of different levels.

Candidate must be confident, resourceful, self-motivated, team player, flexible and possess high level of initiative.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to a fluid environment.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal customers and colleagues.

Ability to successfully operate within a matrixed structure and work as part of a global team.

Ability to work effectively, efficiently and strive for continuous improvement
