Job Role:
We are looking for a Senior DBA to join our team. This role requires you to be a tech-savvy contributor in translating the customer needs and user expectations. You’ll be an exceptional problem solver and take responsible actions in ensuring the application is optimized both in technology and in delivering the best user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Database Administration SQL Server version 2008R2 and above.
• Provides support for troubleshooting and maintenance of databases using SQL Server technologies.
• Install and configure packaged vendor-based systems.
• Implement and upgrade database management system as business needs demand.
• Administer database security according to documented procedures.
• Perform periodic database maintenance, including patching, regular database backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery tests.
• Monitor database performance fine tuning databases as needed.
• Work with replication tools such as Dataguard and SQL Server Always-on availability to maintain disaster recovery environments for business continuity.
• Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, restores of different environments, and product and infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Support both production and non-production servers in a complex environment.
• Engage closely with architects, engineering, and operations teams in designing and delivering highly available and scalable services.
• Backup, Restore and Recovery validations.
• Good Knowledge of Clustering, Replication, Logshipping & Mirroring.
• Knowledge of SSIS & SSRS are desirable.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining databases in AWS/Azure.
• Involve in Code Optimisation and Code reviews.
• Experience in T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions).
• Migration from On-Prem SQL Servers to Azure/AWS.
• Experience with PowerShell Scripting to automate day to day activities.
• Good to have :Knowledge on C#/.NET
