Job Description:
1. Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software
• SE, EE & RAC and related products.
2. Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. 3. Database design and implementation skill would be an added advantage 4. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) and monitor databases. 5. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. 6. Perform application SQL query tuning and performance optimization. 7. Setup and maintain documentation and standards. 8. Plan growth and changes (capacity planning). +.
Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams Candidate Profile:
Education: 1. Preferably Oracle certified DBA. 2. Preferably a BS in Computer Science or related engineering field.
Experience:
• 5 yrs of experience as a DBA
Required Skills: 1. Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools 2. Good understanding of the Data Replication Software such as Data Guard and Golden Gate 3. A good understanding of the underlying operating system 4. A good knowledge of the physical database design will be an added advantage 5. Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring 6. Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios 7. A good knowledge of Oracle security management 8.
