Role Overview
ISS ESG is seeking for a Senior Web Developer (m/w) to join our software developer team supporting the development of a rating application project. The rating application is an internal tool used by more than 200 analysts world-wide to assesses the environmental and social performance of the world's most relevant companies and compiles research reports.
The rating application is developed by a team of highly professional and experienced developers in Munich and Mumbai, that values close cooperation, including pair programming, flat hierarchies, open communication, clear processes and high quality. The product owner team is located in the same office and has a long-term experience of the business, the rating assessment methodology and the corresponding processes.
The successful candidate is authentic, creative, enthusiastic, communicative, enjoys teamwork, takes over responsibilities, is highly motivated to contribute to a high-quality application, and knows that software development is more than coding.

Responsibilities
• Play an active role in an agile team responsible to build a large and continuously growing rating software
• Contribute to a pleasant as well as productive cooperation with the software development team and the product owners
• Developing PHP applications based on the Laravel framework.
• Actively contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements
• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Design and implement automation for various test suites
• Clear possibility but no necessity to contribute for all phases of software development process from technical design and delivery estimates to implementation, testing, defect management and support
Desired Qualification
• Total industry experience - 5 to 10 years
• 4 plus years of profound experience with Laravel or Symfony
• Sound professional experience in development of modern web applications with agile methods (Scrum)
• Expert level in PHP 7/8
• Experience in SQL/MySQL
• You are adept in handling REST APIs
• Good knowledge of tools like npm, webpack
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience architecting complex systems with pragmatic use of design patterns and SOLID principles
• Fluent English language skills, both written and oral
Good To Have
• Experience in JavaScript. Knowledge in TypeScript, ReactJS, CSS, SASS and bootstrap would be a plus
• Experience with the Atlassian Stack (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) is a plus.
