Job DescriptionTech Profile 5 to 6+ years of strong experience as PostgreSQL DBA Experience in managing and maintaining mission-critical24 by 7 production databases along with installation and configuration of the database, implementing high-availability solutions, setup monitoring tools, setup database security, optimizing resources, Hands-on experience on Shell scripting Must have: Experience on EDB products and Certifications. Key Responsibilities: Provide advance support for Application DB hosted Azure (EDB PostgreSQL and Postgres community edition EDB Postgres Advanced Server (Implementation, Configuration, HA, Streaming Replication, EFM, & REPMGR for Postgres Databases) Design, maintain and ensure high availability solutions including replication, clustering etc Design, Implement Disaster Recovery 5. On-demand support for system failure, DR/HA Drill, festival support Review periodic log files for PostgreSQL on proactive basis to find out potential risks and performance issues DB Patch management (minor and major upgrade) Postgres Performance monitoring and optimization (parameter configuration and recommendation) Provide inputs on tuning OS parameters as applicable to the DB server, provide advice on tuning the DB instance parameters, provide recommendation for indexes, provide query tuning guideline Based on the specific help project teams to optimize PostgreSQL configurations Restoration of EDB Postgres Database using pg_restore and PITR as per requirement of users and application Linux (RHEL & OEL 7 and 8) and Windows server 2hidden_mobile and Logical backup using PG _Dump and PG _Dumpall and restoration using E Database Maintenance (VACUUM, VACUUM FULL, ANALYZE, AUTOVACCU M, REINDEXING, VACUUMDB), Performance Benchmarking using PGBENCH.
