Sr. Power BI Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering Microsoft Power BI solutions to translate business requirements into optimal PBI solutions to fulfill customer reporting needs and Business objectives. Responsible for data modeling, building calculations/measures/conversions, data loads and development/configuration of Dashboards/Reports in Power BI as per the business requirements. To design and develop Power BI dashboards with effective data visualization techniques using DAX. To ensure that the developed Power BI solution is complete, accurate and meets user requirements. Testing the developed solutions before releasing it for Business validation. The candidate should be able to work as an individual contributor for the design/development/delivery of PBI solutions. KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Job ExperienceLooking for a strong Power BI Sr. Developer with a total of 4-5 years of IT experience and having at least 3+ years of good experience in Power BI. Power BI experience using ERPs (like Oracle or SAP) as source systems, would be added advantage. Good experience in building data visualization solutions using Power BI to support advanced business analytics. Should have experience in writing complex DAX expressions. Experience in providing the securities for reports/dashboards. Good experience in the design and data modeling of Power BI applications involving complex multiple data sources. Experience in developing Power BI applications loading data to it from heterogeneous sources including various ERPs, Datawarehouse, Manual files, other BI applications etc. Must have experience of at least 3-4 Power BI implementation projects. Knowledge and Skills Should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI Technology. Strong experience in designing and developing Dashboards/Reports in power BI using DAX. Good knowledge of end to end BI implementation and should have good understanding of task/processes to translate and implement business requirements into optimal BI solutions to fulfill customer reporting needs and Business objectives. Good understanding of BI/Data Warehouse and ETL concepts and how to include them in visualizations. Good knowledge on how to fix BI application development bugs or to resolve Production support data issues. Good understanding of the Data warehouse life cycle from source systems/data sources to ETL to transformations to data model to Reporting. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and Dimensional Modeling. Ability to work independently. Desirable Job Competencies Power BI experience using ERPs (like Oracle or SAP) as source systems, would be added advantage.. Experience of working in Finance/Sales/Supply Chain/Manufacturing Reporting modules will be added advantage.
