We are looking for a passionate and skilled C or C++ developer. You will be developing world class Db2 tools that help DBA’s and developers at the world’s largest companies. You will be working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. We encourage passionate developers with exceptional programming skills and are willing to learn to apply.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain high-quality Db2 software products on z/OS. Your work will include collaboration across different BMC products lines. You will be managing a varied workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function development and product maintenance. You will be communicating with various teams to help resolve customer issues. As part of the development team, it will be your responsibility to develop and debug our software products.
Requirements

Required Skills:
A passion for programming and a commitment for writing clean, maintainable code
Strong communication skills
Expertise in Assembler, C or C++ programming
Excellent debugging skills

Good to have:
Experience in Enterprise level software
Understanding of database query performance and optimization (Db2)
Knowledge of Data Structures and algorithms
Familiarity with IBM mainframe systems, z/OS, JCL, ISPF
