What will you do?
You are much more than a developer at Zafin: you are a disruptor, a mentor, an expert, and a guardian. Being one of our Senior Backend Engineers, we expect you to create your own vision and initiate improvements. Every day you contribute to developing, extending and improving the Zafin Product and Pricing platform. You are the owner of the components you'll be working on, dedicating yourself to making the product more performant, harden other non-functionals, improve the developer experience for other developers in and outside Zafin, and extend the configurability and extensibility of the product.
What kind of teams would you work with
• With and within one or multiple development squads in the Product Engineering group.
• You will interact with other squads, developers in the quick response groups (QRF), developers and members of the platform architecture group.
• You will also challenge recommended capabilities and assess feasibility with the Product Management groups and/or customer-facing team members in the Solution Engineering groups.

• You walk the talk; lead by example, and your designs/ideas solve real world problems
• You are able to work autonomously with minimal support, make choices and support your decision/recommendations
• You're a team player who assists your peers when they need support; in other words, you don't live in a bubble neither waste everybody's time by over asking – getting confirmation
• You are comfortable accepting failure, but able to quickly re-assess and move forward without delay or ego.
• Be an advocate of knowledge sharing via code reviews, pair programming and training workshops
• You have a product not a delivery mindset, that sits on a foundation of creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
What You Will Bring to Zafin
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience
• Hands on experience in Java back-end development and skills with Spring-boot framework
• Professional experience with Spring Batch framework
• Strong experience with Continuous Delivery principles and related tools (Kubernetes, GitOps)
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Working experience with and good understanding of event streaming technologies and eventual consistent architectural patterns (Kafka, Pulsar)
• Experience in Cloud native technologies and patterns (Cloud components API Gateway/Workflow orchestration/Serverless applications)
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines , Maven and solid understanding of SCM using GIT
• Hands on experience in OpenAPI design
• Hands on experience in Java Design Patterns, C4 and modular application design
• Experience with designing and building event driven, multi-threaded, high data volume processing applications.
Additional Experience that would be nice to have
• Worked last 3 years in a product and engineering work environment.
• Knowledge in Domain driven design
• Experience with cloud native SQL databases such as TiDB
• Experience with stream processing applications and frameworks such as Flink
