Position: Sr. Purchase Engineer
Work Location: Hinjewadi
Position to which reporting: Head of Operations
Positions reporting to this position : Stores & Logistics
The Role
• Impact & Contribution

• Cost Optimisation
• Multiple Source
• Inventory
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY (i.e.Deliverables, preferably up to 5)
• Ensure Seamless Material flow for Production
• Ensure Quality Material from Vendor
• Vendor Development (New) & Retention
• Minimise Inventory (Rejections, Scrap,etc.)
• Maintain Competitive Raw Material Cost
• Minimise Logistic cost
KEY ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED (responsibilities and meeting customer expectations).
• Prepare cost comparison analysis for raw material procurement and obtain approval from management. Generate and issued purchase order to Vendor
• Ensure Material Requirement Plan (MRP) to be received in time
• Ensure intime material receipt as per terms of Purchase Order
• Vendor development, evaluation, ratings/ and create mulitiple sourcing options
• Propose procurement policies to bring smoothness in the functions
• Propose Vendor selection process to bring right vendor on the baord
• Propose Vendor retention policy and implement
• Initiate inventory control exercise for minimizing the overall inventory as per management's directives
• Closely overview the Stores and Logistics function to enhance effectiveness-for delivery and cost
• Closely overview the logistic function to enhance effectiveness- for delivery and cost
• Create MIS Dashboard
