• Someone excited by the idea of owning; for a QA engineer, that doesn’t mean just raising bugs and hoping developers will fix them. That means owning the quality of the product and holding the bottom-line responsibility for crash rates, user experience, and other quality metrics.
The work involves
• Ensuring our products are thoroughly enjoyable for kids, free from crashes, bugs, or any other distractions that could annoy them.
• Ensuring that our internal systems are well-tested, prioritizing bugs and issues, and working with the product team to get them fixed.
• Understanding user needs, and making sure that the app functionality achieves this. Rather than just testing to design, testing to whether the end user needs are met.
• Reporting and tracking bugs to closure, or triaging them for dev.
• Working with support to understand repetitive support issues and helping reproduce prod bugs/issues.
• Reviewing and providing feedback on test cases drafted and testing conducted by other QA team members.
• Taking ownership of the quality process, driving improvements and best practices across the QA team.

Requirements
Must Haves
• Good understanding of how to create a good Test plan, test cases, and bug reports.
• Should be familiar with basic test patterns and when to use what.
• Practical testing experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Very good interpersonal skills
• Open to learning new skills
• Good knowledge of SQL and at least one database
• Strong work ethic and discipline to be able to work remotely
Good To Haves
• Exposure to using Analytics tools like Mixpanel
• Exposure to TestRail
• Some experience with leading a QA team
• Any game-testing experience
• Any mobile app testing experience
• Remote working experience
