Location/Division Specific Information
The QC Chemistry team is located in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, and plays an integral role in the production and disposition of pharmaceuticals at our site.
About the Role:
The team is responsible for ensuring the completion of qualification/validation protocols, batch release and stability testing. We are a rapidly growing site with ever-increasing opportunities. What You'll Do:
- Manage daily lab operations for Quality Control Chemistry team, conducting various analyses and ensuring cGMP compliance.
- Perform all work in a safe manner adhering to EH&S safe working practices, including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct proactive hazard identification and report any accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Assist with qualification and validation of new instruments within the laboratory.
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or closely related field. Post Graduate qualifications - helpful.
Experience
- At least 1 yr industry work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, aligned to Analytical and Quality Control (QC) fields, especially in liquid chromatography (LC) or Electrophoresis
- Strong background in analytical theory and technical proficiency with laboratory analysis
- Previous experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Empower3, 32Karat, Smartsheets- desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proven understanding in cGMP practices
- A laboratory background - preferably good knowledge with various Chemistry laboratory analytical testing, and area/equipment within the QC Chemistry Laboratories
- Ability to work in a highly multifaceted, frequently changing environment with a wide variety of people and perspectives. Capable of efficiently communicating in multiple modalities (e.g. electronic, written, verbal, etc.)
