Job Description Review processes, suggest process improvements and implement changes. • Supports managing the quality staff to ensure appropriate coverage. • Ensure staff is well trained in procedures and test methods and material is shipped in spec. • Track raw material and product testing results, maintain database of results, perform necessary statistical analysis, and work with colleagues to use analysis to implement appropriate changes as necessary. • Ensure specifications for raw materials and final products are appropriately created, communicated, and modified as required. • Generate, update, and maintain department testing and calibrate procedures such that the lab activities are well documented, repeatable, and reliable. • Lead investigations of Internal NCRs and product complaints. Conduct root cause investigation to identify and correct issue to determine corrective and preventative action. • Maintain and improve as needed the Quality Management System (QMS) and conduct quality audit system. • Interface with customers, management, sales, production manager, and production staff to facilitate growth and improvement in the quality process. • Use SPC to identify trends, work with production to make changes necessary to ensure consistent in-spec material. • Knowledge of TPM and to maintain records according to QM pillar. • Review quality results on a regular basis. To identify trends that have developed, work with Production to resolve trends that could lead to product consistently falling at one end of the spec. This is a Skilled position, which requires training to reach desired performance levels; this position must act in a leadership role to analyze Quality Defects and meet customer satisfaction. • Able to think under pressure, make quick decisions, and act as a decision maker in the absence of the Quality Leader • Ability to work well in a team or alone • Attention to detail • Positive attitude • Solid math skills & statistics knowledge • Leadership skills and interpersonal skills • Ability to train and work with people • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects • Initiative, self-starter • Computer advance skills in E-mail, PowerPoint, and Excel • Logic, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills Conscientious and responsible• A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach • Outstanding communication skills • Excellent organizational and leadership skills • Proficient in MS Office • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods • Work experience on software like Minitab etc. • Certification Knowledge of (ISO +001:2015, ISO 17025, BIS, CE, NSF… etc.) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering polymer science/ Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing equivalent work experience of 5 years in quality. • Preferably 6 sigma black belt/Green belt • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate good organizational skills. • Have good math skills, excellent verbal and written English communication skills
