About The Role
We are seeking a test engineer who can be part of the OCS Enterprise Software Product Group which develops products and solutions for providing control room visualization and collaboration solutions at Barco Noida. The person should preferably have worked in any Enterprise Software product as well experience in testing and validating software products in agile methodology. He/she should have good communication skills. The right candidate should be passionate about software & technology and comfortable with ambiguous environments.
Specific Details About The Role Are As Follows
• Write & maintain scripts for windows environment.
• Should actively participate in component & system level validation activities with QA team.
• Work closely with the development team on developing best practices and processes in the area of Code versioning, build management & packaging for different components for the system on Windows through scripting.
• Ensure complete release notes pertaining to a development and work closely with the test organizations to manage software movement through test and production environment.
• Participate in System image creation and system testing for the overall quality of the product.
• Act as the central point of control & communication for application software deployment effort, coordinating with the appropriate parties and directing the efforts of multiple teams responsible developing diffrent components required in whole software system.
• Work with cross functional teams - across multiple groups, geographies and time zones.
Preferred Skills and Experience Must have skills
• Bachelor’s Degree like BTech or equivalent qualification
• Overall 5+ years’ experience in information systems, systems analysis and design and software testing.
• Hands on experience in System testing
• Working knowledge on UI testing, Integration testing, exploratory testing.
• Knowledge of test metrices/ test plan.
• Working knowledge of at least two operating systems – Windows & Linux.
• Hands on experience in windows scripting & shell scripting.
• Hands on experience on Python, FreeNAS and PXE.
• Hands on experience on Jenkins.
• Build management experience including source control, merge/conflict, build definition.
Skills nice to have
• Ant Scripting / Build experience.
• Securty tools – Acunetix, Nexpose
• PTC Integrity
